Description: "Missionaer Smith med familie" ("Missionary Smith with his family"). The children are (from the left): Wilhelm Ditlef, Alvilde Johanne, and Ingeborg Laura Sofie.The family is sitting at the main entrance of the guest house in Antsirabe. This is a guest house where missionaries could use the healthy warm baths. After 1929 it became the Norwegian childrens' school and dormitory.
Nikoline (Lina) Johanne Eckhoff (maiden name) married Johan Smith, in Ambohimasina on December 11,1894. Johan Smith was a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1919.
