Description
Series of photos of the formal opening of the electronics museum operated by the Perham Foundation at Foothill College. Speakers include Constance Perham and Marie de Forest. A transcript of remarks by Connie Perham is included in the file: "With sincere gratitude, I thank all of you that have made Doug's [Perham] impossible dream come true. The artifacts collected here have all been impossible dreams to someone who had to fight the unknown, bear with unbearable sorrow, the trials of defeat. To try, when their arms and minds were weary, to reach the unreachable star. No matter how far, to be willing to march to courts for the cause. To that glorious quest, they knew their hearts would lie in peace, and the world would be better for this: that men who strive with their last ounce of courage, leave a memorable heritage. May I ask that we stand and give a moment of silence to these men."
