Aly Khan, known by his full title Prince Ali Solomone Aga Khan was the son of Aga Khan III, the head of the Ismaili Muslims. Aly was a wealthy international playboy who served as a Pakistani diplomat to the United Nations but is best known in California for being married to Rita Hayward from 1949-1953. Photograph caption dated July 7, 1951 reads, "Rita Meets The Press To Tell Of Lost Love For A Prince - Her long red tresses falling on a powder blue dress, demure-looking Rita Hayworth poses for photographers [illegible] she holds press interview at her Beverly Hills Hotel bungalow. She told about her definite decision to divorce Price Aly Khan, that he can never regain her love. She will go to Reno next week to sue for divorce. When she felt press conference was over, she said 'Thank you' to newsmen and walked out."
