Description
The Hotel De Anza sits at the corner of West Santa Clara and Notre Dame Streets on property that once belonged to the College of Notre Dame. Automobiles are parked at the front and side of the hotel. Street railroad tracks run in front of the Hotel De Anza on Santa Clara Street. The hotel was named in honor of early California explorer Juan Bautista de Anza who visited the Santa Clara Valley in 1776. The hotel closed in 1981 and after an extensive renovation reopened in 1990 as a small luxury hotel.
