"Los Angeles, California. 1948. Bunker Hill. West side of Flower Street just south of Temple Street. This is the neighborhood mentioned by Sarah Bixby-Smith in 'Adobe Days'. These were the last remnants of the area where the Bixbys first settled before building their home on the S.E. corner of Court and Hill Sts." -- handwritten on verso.
