Description: 3/4 portrait of Captain Richard Robinson. Robinson is looking to the viewer's left and standing while holding the back of an ornate chair with his right hand. He is wearing a dark suit and has short hair and a medium length beard. Museum records indicate he was born 1817-08-13 in Thomaston, Maine and died 1896-02-06 in Ventura. He is buried in Montecito, CA.
