Description
Group photo of apricot pickers, men, women, and children, on the Staire Ranch standing in front of a pitting shed. Staire Ranch was on Ventura Avenue. On the right, the woman with dirty apron, hand to head, is Muriel C. Eells. Man in dark coveralls is Walter Meyer. Walter Meyer was a nephew of John Notten who also had an apricot orchard on the Avenue. Miss Eells and Mr. Meyer were married in Ventura on 11 May 1912 at Presbyterian Church. Parents of C. Barbara (Meyer) Fulkerson.
