Description
Photograph of the Morris Dam and San Gabriel River, 1938. The smooth, lightly-colored water resembles milk as it winds between the dark hillsides and rushes through the spillway of the dam at center. The foamy water hits the gravel bed in the foreground forecefully, moistening the dry ground on contact. To the left a thin road can be seen curving along the side of the hill into the background. The road intersects a road which bridges over the spillway and crosses the top of the dam to get to the hills on the right.
