Description
Photograph shows men congregating outside of a building. there is a note on the back of this which the following is relevant: Papa had this picture taken with the candidate for governor and he waited to send you one. the man with the pipe is the candidate and papa sits next to him, to the right in black. [In fact, the candidate is none other than Hiram Johnson (1866 - 1945), Governor of California 1911-1917, U. S. Senator 1917 - 1945, leader of the Progressive Movement, champion of Isolationism. Incredible!]
