Description

Corner view of a large 3 story building with a spire and peaked roofs encircled by a low wall and a row of trees; 2 boys stand in the corner walkway entrance. Owned by Hiram and Alfred Tubbs. Built in 1870 by Power & Ough, opened in 1871. Burned Aug. 14, 1893. Located between 4th and 5th, East 14th and east 12th streets in area known at the time as Brooklyn.
