Description
Photograph of a drawing of the first school in Los Angeles, Alameda Street and Macy Street, a wooden building shipped around the Horn on a sailing vessel. It was run by the Sisters of Charity. Drawing was made by a pupil in 1856. The 3-story rectangular building has two crosses on the roof and sits behind a fence. Another smaller structure is nestled in the trees adjacent to it at right.
