At center, the two-story home is pictured turned slightly to the left, steps leading up to its brick porch while a long extension of the home stretches behind the gambrel roof. Handwritten transcription from back of postcard read: "Mr. E.C. Shipley, 744 East 8th St., Los Angeles, Cal.". Typed transcription read: "post card", "the address to be written on this side", "place 1-cent stamp here".
