Warren Adler discusses his book, “Children of the Roses.” He begins by explaining that he decided to write the book as a sequel to his previous novel “War of the Roses.” He discusses the effect that divorce has on children and how that plays out in the book. Adler shares how he likes to explore the way a small event can trigger larger events. He goes on to discuss some of the major plot points of the book. Later in the interview he shares that he feels that sometimes it is necessary to keep your secrets and that you do not always need to share everything with everyone. Adler shares his hope that the book will either be turned into a film or into a television series on HBO similar to the “Sopranos.”
