Description
Prints, advertising; Image of Allied soldiers in World War I climbing a rocky crag towards the German Imperial eagle that crouches at the peak with bloody claws above the Iron Cross; the lead soldier wears a French uniform, and soldiers in the combat uniforms of other countries, including two United States infantrymen, follow.
Date supplied by cataloger based on general history of war. "Eug. Courboin"--text, artist's signature in stone, upper left of image. "Imp. Cornille & Serre, Paris."--text, bottom left margin. "Visa 13.625"--text, bottom right margin.
