Description
Autograph journal, unsigned, by Charles-Henri-Louis d'Arsac Ternay, describing his time and experiences on board the ship Duc de Bourgogne, March 1, 1780 through December 9, 1780. Some marginal notes and emendations in the hand of Destouches. Written in chronological order. Written at the head of the first page is: "Journal de me campagne sur le vaisseau du Duc de Bourgogne annee 1780". The last three pages are blank. Title supplied by cataloger.
