First photograph caption reads, "Firemen are shown battling blaze on a section of a pier on Long Beach Channel No. 3 during the disastrous fire which caused $2,000,000 damage."; Second photograph caption reads, "One of the year's biggest tragedies occurred early this month when a disastrous fire swept the piers in Long Beach Channel No. 3. The blaze caused damage estimated at more than $2,000,000. Firemen are seen battling the blaze."
