Description
1920s Sacramento Delta Chinese Opera Cantonese character headdress. Tall toque is comprised of six fabric panels extending vertically. Pink silk ball stitched to top. Panels decorated with tiny mirrors in round brass mounts along with multi-colored embroidered birds, butterflies, fish and floral motifs. Bottom of panels are attached to a single panel whick wraps around the circumference, forming the bottom of the headdress. This panel has black trim and is divided at front where two 12.5 inch long chinstraps are attached.
