Photograph caption dated October 23, 1956 reads, "Muzzle loading - Three primary steps in muzzle loading are shown above and below. Above left, charge of powder is measured into rifle with powder horn. Above right, ball is placed into barrel with piece of well-oiled cloth for wading. Below, cap is put into place and hammer cocked in final step prior to firing. Old rifles are extremely accurate; used in competition by club members."
