Photograph of a sycamore tree behind a low stone wall by an unpaved road on the route to Mission Santa Barbara, 1901. At left, the unpaved road curves into the distance, while at right a low retaining wall holds a bed of foliage. Farther in, connected to the bed, a tall section of picket fence is visible. The sycamore stands inside the bed in the far right foreground. In the left distance, the bell towers of the Mission can be seen.
