Description
Photograph of seven monkey-faced owls at the Los Angeles zoo, ca.1930. The lightly-colored owls are very small and appear to be underdeveloped like babies. They have feathers on their wings, but the rest of their body appears to be covered in fur. Their eyes are dark and their faces are rounded on their small heads. They stand against a log background. "These owls are completely white and appear to be baby owls who have not yet developed their adult feathers".
