True horse-and-buggy days were those when this picture was taken in 1890. The view is of Front Street, looking east. Real "wild west" stories were created here, tales of the old Blue Ruin saloon, stage coach robberies, and innumerable heroics by pioneer Samuel Bland. Photo dated: February 19, 1955.
