Description
Martin begins the discussion talking about his work researching diets and how it lead him to finding a diet that balanced but would result in weight loss 2 or 3 times as fast as eating a normal health diet, but one that does not slow the metabolic rate. He discusses how to lose weight by cutting fat and simple sugars but not lean muscle mass, and concentrating on eating lean proteins and vegetables as well as incorporating exercise. He also recommends putting food one finds hard to resist out in the open to habituate oneself to their presence. Martin also discusses other programs, like Weight Watchers, that can help those struggling to lose weight without harming their metabolic rate.
