Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Los Angeles Public Library from across a grassy field, [s.d.]. The large library building can be seen at center. It is a four-story building with a tall tower protruding from the roof. The top of the tower is capped by a pyramidal structure decorated with a mosaic. Two statues of people can be seen on either side of the entrance to the library at center, and a sign above and between them reads "Et Qvasi Cvrsores Vitai Lampada Tradvnt". A park-like area can be seen in the foreground and is shaded by an assortment of tress and divided by a cement walkway towards the left. Also see CHS-m1896 and CHS-m18134.
