Hundreds of students from China rally in front of the Chinese Consulate, located at 501 S. Shatto Place, to protest the military crackdown on students in China. Students came mostly from California schools such as USC, UCLA, Irvine, and Cal Tech, as well as from Arizona. Photograph dated May 20, 1989.
