Photograph of Palomar Mountain (later site of observatory) from Pachango Canyon, ca.1895. Land of the Temecula Indians. "Tule house in the Pachanga Canyon figuring more than once in contemporary illustrations as 'Mrs. Jackson's Adobe'." In image are two small thatched roof buildings and a thatched roof cover. About ten women and children are in the picture.
