A dog sled, one person in sled and one person behind, riding through a snowy meadow in Yosemite. There are six dogs in harness. In the background is another person in front of the trees. Written on back: "Yosemite, Xmas 1922 - one of us in sled - Mama?, Frances?, Ione?". Photo is one of several found in an envelope from Welch family labeled: "Snaps of stays in Yosemite -- Summer 1919 Xmas 1922 -- J.R., Mrs., Frances & Ione spent almost a week at the Sentinal Hotel on the Merced River. It was the first time Yosemite was open to the public in the winter. Train from S. J. to Merced, & to El Portal - then truck-like heavy bus on to the Hotel."
