Description
This 1929 portrait captures ultra-dapper golf professional Frank Minch, a member of, and golf professional at, the Del Paso Country Club, located at 3333 Marconi Avenue. Minch was one of California's leading profesional golfers and a valued member of the PGA during his 40 year tenure at Del Paso Country Club. When retiring in 1965, his son, Frank Minch, Jr., operated as Del Paso's professional for the next 27 years. Minch, Sr., is best known for telling California Governor Earl Warren, "Governor, you'll never be a golfer."
