Description
Illustrated map of Mt. Baldy Tour no. 3. Starting at City Hall in downtown Los Angeles, the tour goes east on Huntington Dr. through the cities of Oneonta, San Marino and Monrovia (illustrated with the San Gabriel Valley attractions of the Huntington Library, the Santa Anita Race Track and the County Recreation Park). Crossing the San Gabriel River, the tour follows Route 66 through the cities of Azusa, Glendora and Claremont (illustrating the Colleges), north on Camp Baldy Dr. to Camp Baldy and Icehouse Canyon (illustrating Mt. San Antonio peak, el. 10,080 ft.). The return trip goes back down the canyon to Upland via Mountain Blvd. and continues south to Ontario. There it takes Route 99 west through Pomona (noting the Arabian Horse farm), West Covina, El Monte and Monterey Park and terminates at City Hall. Map signed: John E. Roberts.
