Photograph caption dated October 14, 1959 reads, "Talks "dividends" - William K. English, veteran blacksmith of 18441 Parthenia St., Northridge, lifts a heavy plow share, once common in his shop, from blazing forge as he discusses Social Security 'dividends' he is now receiving despite his work beyond age 72. English learned of benefits he is drawing through an accidental discussion with Social Security representative, Joe Perlman. He's happy now about their conversation."
