Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "Monument Canyon in Northeastern Arizona. In the upper reaches of the Canyon de Chelly a gorge branches at right angles which is remarkable for its stupendous rock monuments. Many of these red sandstone cliffs attain a height of a thousand feet."
