Photograph used for an article dated January 29, 1955. Photo taken of Downey Avenue in 1886. Not many people were in town to have their picture taken at this time. They were probably in the fields, farming 275-pound pumpkins, 12-foot corn, and two crops a year of potatoes and 10 crops of alfalfa. Bumper crops, indeed.
