A redwood (#1547) felled from an eroding bank 100 yards above mouth of Canoe Creek and on East bank of Eel River. Tree had been leaning. Stump shows past burial. 280 years old. 7 1/2' diameter on long axis. See also #5786 and #5788. Oct. 1934. E.F
