Description
Photograph of a view looking north along Beacon Street in San Pedro, ca.1905. A three-story block building with a clock tower on its corner stands in the left center distance alongside the wide, unpaved street. The two-story brick shop of George H. Peck and Company is pictured in the left foreground, while pedestrians walk the sidewalks along other shops on either side of the street. Utility poles line the right side. Workers appear to be excavating something from the road in front of the Peck building. Legible signs include: "Peck & Anderson Real Estate", "Bank", and "Arthur C. Ferl / Real Estate and Loans".
