Photographic portrait of Siegfried Marshutz, founder of the Jewish Orphans Home of Southern California, [s.d.]. Mr. Marshutz is pictured from his upper torso to his head and is looking straight ahead, although his body is turned to the right. He can be seen wearing a dark pinstriped suit and matching bowtie, as well as a white shirt. He is balding, and his remaining hair is gray. He can be seen wearing a pair of round glasses on his face. In addition to his work with the orphan home, he was one of the pioneers of optometry.
