Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated June 27, 1961 reads, "Burglary suspect had four bullet wounds in thigh, groin." The article partially reads, "Paul E. Hurley, 31, was taken to Valley Doctors Hospital, North Hollywood, where he was treated for gunshot wounds in the thigh, groin and leg...The gunplay took place about 6:30 a.m. near Valleyheart drive and Rhodes avenue. It ended Hurley's three-hour unsuccessful attempt to hide from police in a backyard at 12403 Valleyheart Dr., police said.
