Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 30, 1957 reads, "Hody's hit by fire - Smoke billows from Hody's restaurant at 6006 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, during height of fire which gutted kitchen, raced through roof and damaged overhead storage room. Damage could run as high as $75,000, a spokesman said. Two firemen were injured shortly after 200 diners had fled restaurant when roof of main dining room collapsed. Their helmets saved them from serious injuries and they escaped with only minor hurts. Fire prematurely adjourned weekly meeting of Kiwanis Club which was meeting at time."
