Description
Persia Woolley discusses her novel, “Queen of the Summer Stars.” She begins by explaining that this book is the second installment of her trilogy about Queen Guenevere. She talks about how she tried to write the book as historical fiction, not fantasy. She discusses her early writing career as a non-fiction journalist, and talks about the reasons she switched to writing novels. Woolley describes the connection she feels to Guenevere, and that both women had to learn to live without children. She discusses the complicated relationship between Guenevere, King Arthur, and Lancelot. She ends the interview by talking about Roman influences on the Celtic culture.
