Goldstine, spiritual leader, holds Torah. Eight students were confirmed at the synagogue's ceremonies Friday evening. In many Valley Jewish congregations confirmation is held on or about the Shavuot holiday that commemorates the Revelation of the Torah at Mt. Sinai in the days of Moses. The Shavuot festival begins Tuesday evening and concludes at sundown Thursday."
