Photograph of an interior view of the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company plant in Long Beach, ca.1936. A long line of partially completed automobiles is at center. The cars lack front ends and wheels. Along the entire line, men are stitching and trimming fabric around the roofs of the cars. Hanging lights line both sides of the assembly line, and stacks of materials can be seen on the sides of the factory.
