When Jack Kent Cooke unveils a plan to build a sports pavilion in this town, he always accompanies it with a picture of the structure. He distributed this one (shown) to the press last February, when he was awarded an NHL franchise. Named the Forum, it was abandoned for a different-looking Forum this week--having lasted only six months. This compares quite unfavorably with original Forum in ancient Rome. It's still standing.
