Text written under photo: "22nd & Mission Street 1918." View looks north on Mission from 22nd. A crew is digging into the street around the southbound tracks. People throng the sidewalks. Many autos are visible. A man at the left holding packages appears to be posing for the camera. The Wigwam Theatre can be seen on the east side of the street. A United Railroads 1600 class car is proceeding north. The large buildings near Van Ness can be seen dimly in the distance.
