Description
“Kaffern in Mvenyane, die sich ‘Christmas-Box’ holen wollen” (“Kaffirs in Mvenyane want to to get the ‘Christmas-Box’“). Children, men and women are standing in multi-lines, wearing indigenous clothes, some are covered in light-coloured blankets. The surroundings are marked by shrubs and trees.
Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa, was mission director of the Moravian Brethren from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop.
