Description
A group portrait of a missionary hunting party. Almost every member of the group is holding a rifle or a shotgun. Two of the men have binoculars. The carcasses of their kills are laid out behind them. Written on the back of the photograph: "Hunting Party, Jan. 1922. ([illegible] Oberholtzer, who broke our 1st day. Left to right: Dr. Taylor, Hubbard (in rear), Leonard, Bright, Dr. Lewis (""), Crumpacker, Bull, Wilson, Dr. McLean.
This photo is from the papers of Emery Ward Ellis, a missionary serving the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Tehchow, Shantung from 1904-1927.
