Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 16, 1950 partially reads, "Football may be a man's game, but picking the winners isn't. For the second straight week the fair sex stuck a dainty hand into the Valley Times 'Pigskin Contest' to make the men look like they had never seen a football, let alone picked a winner. Last week Mrs. Grace Hamblett, 1213 No. Glenoaks, Burbank, became the season's top picker in the Valley Times contest by selecting 18 winners in 20 games (Nov. 10-11). One game she didn't pick was a tie, so she missed only one. The week before another woman, Mrs. Winona Ranslem, also from Burbank, tied for first. So the women, bless 'em, have finished in front two weeks hand running."
