Description
This was a dedication ceremony for the sundial. It was unveiled in Freshman Court in the mid-40s by Principal E. E. Wood (seated, center left). In an article in the Tam News on January 15, 1988, Michael King writes "Tam's sundial was also an important fixture on campus, but it was eventually replaced by a portable Social Studies building. The sundial has been preserved and will be relocated sometime in the future." That statement is unverified. Currently, Freshman Court is an open space in front of the Ceramics building and beside the Phoenix Art building.
