Compiling all of his experiences and research in the Fresno Assembly Center, Pollock assembles a narrative to document the Center. The narrative Includes: The newspaper (Grapevine) and other publications by evacuee publication staff; Grapevine staff; Headlines; The Caucasian (W.C.C.A.) administration staff of the Fresno Assembly Center; High school graduation; "Hall graduates"; The Fresno Assembly Center High School graduates and the school from which they received their diploma; Births and deaths--Fresno Assembly Center; Elected officials; and Religion in Fresno Assembly Center; Walter E. Pollock was the head of the service division at the Fresno Assembly Center. He was deeply affected by his time working at the center and was working on a memoir of his experiences there, but unfortunately passed away before it could be completed. The collection contains his research and draft chapters.
