Photograph of 13-month old Erik Ward climbing the steps of Widney Alumni House, University of Southern California, January 1, 1979. He is wearing matching romper tee and bloomer in black with "Toward century II 1979" printed in white on the back of the bloomer. Attached to the verso is a label with "Stonier Hall 308, University of Southern California, University Park, Los Angeles, California 90007, Telephone (213)741-2215". Label has " New Year 1979. Erik Ward - 13 months" in type followed by "(Sid, father)" in ink. "Symbolizing the approach of USC's second century, 13-month-old Erik Ward climbed the steps of that corner stone building in which USC experienced birth 99 years earlier. The structure today serves the needs of 160,000 degree holders as Widney Alumni House" -- The Trojan gallery, p. 3.
