Description
Connie and Tony begin the interview discussing the reenactors of the Civil War and how exact the reenactors are in their treatment of the Civil War era. They proceed to talk about Tony’s encounters with the enactors and how he was forced to conform to their ways for his research before reflecting on the racial progress of the South, and how the South continues Confederate memory. Connie and Tony then consider what Tony would like readers to take away from the book, and the complexity of Civil War reenactors’ motivations for participating as reenactors. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
