"Br. Knöbel und Br. Schieve vor der Tür. Moravian Hill." ("Br[other] Knöbel and Br[other] Schieve in front of the door. Moravian Hill."). The two European missionaries are standing in front of the door of a big house, resembling a mansion. Brother Knöbel is wearing a regular suit and a tie in light colors. Brother Schieve is wearing a dark suit and a pocket watch of which the chain is visible. Karl Rudolf Knöbel (1910-?) worked as a missionary and merchant in South Africa. He married Ottilie Emma Hese (1914-?). -- Moravian Hill was a congregation in District Six, now called Zonnebloem. -- This picture was taken by Willibald Paul Schaberg (1900-?). He worked as a missionary in South Africa West, mostly in Elim. He married Elfriede Henriette Johanna Nigrin (born 1898) in Herrnhut near Dresden, Germany, in 1929. It is not known when and where he stopped working and died.
