Description
Photograph of a view of a gold recovery mine at Tropico Hill and Gold Camp, ca.1900. A small structure stands on the left with several poles and wooden planks extending from the roof. There is a small, rectangular window next to the lightly-colored doorway on the structure's right side next to piles of supplies at center. More of this debris can be seen on the right in the foreground as well as on the left of the structure. A wire fence with wooden posts zigzags through the deserts that extends into the distance where several structures can be seen. "Desert mountain mining photo of seemingly deserted 'old Dry Process Mill.' Gold recovery mill at Tropico Hill and Gold Camp in early days".
